A new group has formed to help create more regionally based work - The National Federation of Gypsy Groups is constituted to carry out conferences across the 9 regions working with the local groups there on different themes.

The Romany Gypsy and Irish Traveller Forum

 

The Forum has been created to take the place of the Gypsy and Traveller Law Reform Coalition in that it will act as time and space for groups to come together and discuss specific issues. It will still be linked in to the Gypsy and Traveller Law Reform All Parliamentary Party Group. This is to enable the communities themselves to feed into the law reform process on issues that are of concern to them.

The APPG will also be kept up to date with information gained from the regional conferences .The first of these being the East Midlands conference.
