Funding through BIG Lottery has meant that we have continued to employ our planners Alice De La Rue and Roger Yarwood. This has been a very successful and worthwhile project as we enter into our fifth year, we are extremely pleased that this vital work can carry on looking at district and bourough Local Development Framework Documents and Core Strategies. Originally working to draft representations on the East Midlands and West Midlands RSS [ Regional Spatial Strategies] The RSS'S have now been revoked which is a shame as we felt that regional working was the way forward for the Gypsy and Traveller communities.

Gypsy, Traveller and Showmen Accommodation Needs Assessments have all been collated by Alice de La Rue. You may contact us for a paper copy, we will have to make a small charge for this to cover postage costs or time costs if applied for by e mail. We are working on tight resources and we hope that you appreciate the work that Alice has put in, collating all the assessments before they disappear .
We have also been able to carry forward some site applications. We are working out how many families we have received planning permissions for and these figures will be uploaded after the AGM in November.
